Starnes Davis Florie LLP Names Four New Partners to the Firm: Benjamin T. Presley, William S. Starnes, Jr., Alex Terry Wood, and Breanna Harris Young.

Ben Presley’s practice primarily focuses on complex business litigation. A significant portion of his practice is also dedicated to municipal and government litigation, personal injury, workers’ compensation, and constitutional law, as well as appellate advocacy. Ben has represented multinational, national and regional companies, as well as municipalities across Alabama. Ben graduated from the University of Alabama School of Law in 2010.

Will Starnes devotes his practice primarily in the areas of medical malpractice defense and general civil litigation. As part of Starnes Davis Florie’s collegiate sports group, Will also represents universities in NCAA compliance investigations. Will has previously served on the Birmingham Bar Association Young Lawyers Section Executive Committee. He is currently the President of the Young Leaders Board of the American Heart Association. Will graduated from the Cumberland School of Law and business school at the Brock School of Business, earning his J.D. / M.B.A. in 2010.

Alex Wood’s practice focuses on civil litigation and the defense of personal injury cases with a concentration in premises liability. Alex also spends a portion of her practice in hospitality and retail litigation, labor and employment defense, and representation of insurers in insurance coverage disputes. Before joining the firm, she clerked for The Honorable Charles A. Graddick, Presiding Judge of the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit, Mobile County, Alabama. Alex graduated from the University of Alabama School of Law in 2009.

Breanna Young devotes her practice primarily to labor and employment. She also practices in municipal and government litigation. She represents both public and private employers in all types of labor and employment disputes, from defending discrimination claims to handling traditional labor relations matters. She routinely advises employers in making employment decisions and developing policies that reduce the risk of being sued by employees. She graduated summa cum laude from The University of Alabama School of Law in 2010, where she was elected to the Order of the Coif and served as Alabama Editor of the Alabama Law Review.
