Starnes Davis Florie LLP is thrilled to announce the addition of three exceptional associates to its team: Kamryn Carpenter, Laura Alice Hillhouse, and Joseph Stipp.
Kamryn Carpenter will focus her practice on civil litigation, specializing in complex business litigation. Kamryn earned her J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law in 2025, where she served as Senior Editor of the Law and Psychology Review, a student advocate in the Domestic Violence Law Clinic, and an active member of the Dorbin Association. She graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. from The University of Alabama in 2021.
Laura Alice Hillhouse will practice civil litigation with a focus on medical malpractice litigation. A 2025 graduate of the University of Alabama School of Law, Laura Alice served as Lead Articles Editor of the Law and Psychology Review and as a board member of Alabama Law’s Moot Court Board. She also worked in the Civil Law Clinic where she gained experience in client counseling, legal research, and advocacy. She earned her B.S., summa cum laude, from Birmingham-Southern College in 2022.
Joseph Stipp will concentrate his practice on civil litigation in the areas of medical malpractice and commercial litigation. He graduated from the University of North Carolina School of Law in 2025, where he was involved in the Pro Bono Cancer Clinic, Sports and Entertainment Law Association, and volunteered with local Christian ministries. Joseph earned his B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2021.
