Darrius Dixon is an associate with the firm’s Nashville office. Darrius specializes in medical malpractice and professional liability defense, with experience in privacy & data security. Darrius has represented hospitals, health systems, medical groups, and skilled nursing facilities, as well as individual healthcare professionals, such as, physicians, nurses, and advanced specialists across various fields. Before returning to Nashville to join Starnes, Darrius was a lawyer with a firm in Knoxville, Tennessee. His practice spanned a broad-spectrum of general litigation, including healthcare, employment, insurance defense, and criminal defense. He has successfully tried cases in courts throughout East Tennessee. Prior to his career as an attorney, Darrius served as a police officer in middle Tennessee.
Ben Kearns is an associate with the firm’s Mobile office. Ben’s practice is devoted to civil litigation. He defends a wide array of cases, with a concentration in wrongful death, premises liability, business and contractual litigation, bad faith, insurance defense, director and officer liability, healthcare law, products liability, construction claims, disputes between partners and LLC members, and issues related to fair debt collection. While attending the University of Alabama School of Law, he was selected for the Trial Advocacy Competition Class, served on the John A. Campbell Moot Court Board, and argued in the National Tax Moot Court Competition.
