Trip Umbach and Breanna Harris obtained a jury verdict for our employer client on January 31, 2013 in the Jefferson County Circuit Court. Our client sued a former employee for breaching his non-compete agreement. After his new employer terminated him, the former employee brought a counterclaim alleging that our client intentionally interfered with his new job. After a three-day trial, the jury found in favor of our client on all claims. Specifically, the jury awarded the employer damages on the breach of contract claim and found that the employer had not unlawfully interfered with the defendant’s new employment.
