Mike Florie and Joe Miller obtained a defense verdict for two obstetricians in a case alleging failure to timely diagnose preeclampsia, resulting in the complication of Purtscher’s-Like Retinopathy and maternal blindness following cesarean section. The case involved prenatal care of a pregnant mother with gestational hypertension. The plaintiff alleged the defendant obstetricians should have diagnosed severe preeclampsia and accomplished an earlier cesarean section. After eight days of trial, including eleven witnesses, the jury returned a verdict in favor of the defendant obstetricians.
