Todd Huntley, Larry Fantroy and Billy Bates secured a defense verdict on May 16, 2012 in Etowah County Circuit Court following the eight day trial of a medical malpractice and wrongful death case against a radiologist. The plaintiff alleged that the radiologist failed to properly read a MRA of the patient’s brain and misdiagnosed an aneurysm which subsequently ruptured, causing the patient’s death. The defense successfully argued that the MRA did not reveal anything that resembled an aneurysm. After hearing testimony from seven witnesses and closing arguments, the jury found the radiologist was not responsible for the death of his patient.
