Scott Salter and Billy Bates recently won a medical malpractice case in Lauderdale County, Alabama brought against a urologist alleging negligence in the performance of an adult circumcision. The plaintiff contended he required revision surgery, resulting in medical expenses as well as physical pain. The plaintiff also claimed mental distress contending the event had changed his relationship with his wife, changed his mental outlook on life and caused permanent disfigurement. After four days of trial that involved testimony from five urologists and a plastic surgeon, the jury returned a defense verdict on June 15, 2017.
