Starnes Announces Five New Partners

Starnes Davis Florie LLP is pleased to announce five new partners: William P. Blanton; G. Matthew Keenan; Tabor R. Novak, III; Stephen W. Still, Jr.; and H. Thomas Wells, III.

William P. “Billy” Blanton works in the firm’s Mobile office. His practice is devoted to civil litigation, primarily in the areas of product and premises liability, workers compensation, motor vehicle accidents, and insurance coverage, including bad faith.

G. Matthew “Matt” Keenan focuses primarily on municipal litigation and suretyship law, although he practices extensively in a variety of other areas, from commercial litigation to products liability. Matt also represents companies in the settlement of future medical benefits resulting from workers’ comp claims through Medicare Set Asides (MSA).

Tabor R. Novak, III focuses on a variety of litigation matters, concentrating on complex, high-risk litigation. He has represented both regional and national companies, including major financial institutions in both federal and state court. He has also represented Fortune 500 companies in a variety of litigation. Tabor also serves as a member of the firm’s recruiting committee.

Stephen W. Still, Jr. devotes his practice to defending nursing home malpractice claims, medical malpractice claims, and general insurance litigation, including defense of direct claims against insurance companies for breach of contract, bad faith, and fraud. He also practices extensively in a variety of other areas, including commercial litigation, representing both plaintiffs and defendants, and in the area of manufactured housing litigation. Stephen also serves as a member of the firm’s recruiting committee.

H. Thomas “Trey” Wells, III devotes his practice to civil litigation with a primary focus on complex commercial litigation, environmental law, constitutional law, professional liability and appellate advocacy. Trey has represented national and regional companies as well as several governmental entities throughout the State of Alabama. Trey also serves as a member of the firm’s recruiting committee.
