Joe Miller, Will Axon and Madeleine Greskovich obtained a jury verdict in favor of two surgeons accused of negligently delaying surgery to repair a gunshot wound to the abdomen. The plaintiff claimed the nature and extent of the gunshot injuries mandated emergent surgery or immediate transfer. He ultimately underwent nine surgical procedures at the hospital where he was transferred. After a 7 day trial, the jury returned a defense verdict based on evidence that non-operative management by the surgeons was reasonable and proper under the circumstances.
