SDF attorneys Joseph Reese and George Newton were selected to serve on the Executive Committee of the Alabama Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). Reese, who has previously served as Treasurer, serves as Vice-President/President-Elect and will begin his term as President during the 2021-2022 year. Newton serves as Treasurer. ABOTA is a national, invitation-only organization of judges and trial lawyers dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the civil jury system. Members must have demonstrated significant experience and skill in trying civil jury cases to conclusion as lead counsel, as well other aspects of civil litigation. Members must also exhibit the virtues of civility, integrity, and professionalism.
