Randy Sellers successfully defended an obstetrician in a jury trial that resulted from a shoulder dystocia during the birth of the child. During the birth process, the child suffered a permanent injury to his C-5 and C-6 brachial plexus nerves and has limited use of his right arm. After four days of testimony from six witnesses, the jury found that the delivering obstetrician met the applicable standard of care in dislodging the shoulder dystocia and delivering the baby in a timely fashion.
