On October 27th, The Alabama Supreme Court honored 88 Alabama attorneys, including 55 from the Birmingham area, who provided 50 or more hours of pro bono service to poor and low-income clients in 2014. Starnes Davis Florie’s Amber Whillock was one of these honored attorneys.
Chief Justice Roy Moore and Associate Justice Michael Bolin, of Birmingham, recognized the award recipients at the event that was presented by the Alabama Access to Justice Commission. ‘Our country is built on the premise that the doors to justice are open to everyone regardless of your income,’ Moore said in his remarks at the event. ‘Your work ensures that all Alabamians can achieve justice.’
