Richard E. Davis has been appointed by Alabama State Bar President Augusta Dowd to the Bar’s new Task Force on Legal Education and Admission to the Bar for 2017-2018.  This task force will undertake a comprehensive evaluation of relevant current issues related to legal education and admission to the bar, which may include, but is not limited to, an analysis of data related to the Alabama bar examination; a comparison of the overall success of accredited and non-accredited law schools; an analysis of the Rules Governing Admission to the Alabama State Bar; a review of areas of concern with respect to the character and fitness of law student registrants and applicants for admission; and an analysis of employment statistics for graduates of Alabama law schools.
