Trip Umbach, Breanna Young, and Grace Ann Azar recently prevailed in an appeal before the Alabama Supreme Court. The Court affirmed without opinion the circuit court’s summary judgment decision for our clients in a non-compete dispute between two federal government contractors in Huntsville. Our client’s former employer sued him and his new company for allegedly soliciting and hiring several employees from his previous employer. He also asserted counterclaims. After almost three years of litigation, the Circuit Court of Madison County ruled that the agreement at issue was not enforceable and dismissed all claims against our clients. The Alabama Supreme Court affirmed the dismissal decision.
