Bates & Huntley Prevail in Federal Jury Trial
On February 5, 2009, Billy Bates and Todd Huntley received a defense verdict in favor of a neurosurgeon in the Federal District Court for the Northern District of Alabama. The four day trial arose from injuries allegedly received immediately following neurological surgery in November of 2003. The plaintiff claimed the defendant physician breached the standard of care in the performance of a neck surgery. The plaintiff alleged that this improper care resulted in her incurring permanent neurological injuries.
