Starnes Davis Florie Attorneys Secure Defense Verdict for OB/GYN After Eight Days of Trial

John McCall, Weathers Bolt and Billy Bates recently secured a defense verdict for an OB/GYN accused of performing an unnecessary hysterectomy in Mobile, Alabama. The Plaintiff, a thirty-one year old female, alleged that her physician misrepresented her colposcopy findings as cancer, after which she agreed to have her uterus removed. The Defendant OB/GYN denied the Plaintiff's claims and submitted that the underlying hysterectomy was offered to the Plaintiff as an elective procedure, and only after appropriate counsel was provided to the patient. After eight days of trial, the jury returned a defense verdict.
