S&A attorneys obtain a judgment in a six-day malpractice trial.
On October 5, 2007, Bob MacKenzie, Christian Hines, and Clayton Bromberg obtained a judgment as a matter of law following six days of the plaintiff’s case. The suit arose out of 53 year old female who presented to the emergency room following a motor vehicle accident. The patient was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit. The patient unfortunately, died within 24 hours. The plaintiff claimed the patient died as a result of hypovolemic shock. The plaintiff contended the defendant physician and hospital failed to recognize the signs of the patient’s deteriorating condition. The trial judge dismissed the case after the plaintiff had called 12 witnesses yet failed to prove causation.
The recoveries, verdicts, favorable outcomes, and testimonials described on this site are not an indication of future results. Every case is different, and regardless of what friends, family, or other individuals may say about what a case is worth, each case must be evaluated on its own facts and circumstances as they apply to the law. The valuation of a case depends on the facts, the injuries, the jurisdiction, the venue, the witnesses, the parties, and the testimony, among other factors. Furthermore, no representation is made that the quality of the legal services to be performed is greater than the quality of legal services performed by other lawyers.
